Introducing PROTO6R Core. True to it's name, the frame kit is reduced only to the core essentials to get you started. It is still machined from tough T700 carbon fiber but now complimented with all stainless steel hardware and a few less prints.
It all started when I was searching for something more compact than a 7", more stable than a 5", but much lighter than both for maximum efficiency and performance. Most popular 6" frames I came across just looked like longer-armed 5" tanks, which didn’t make any sense to me. If I'm going to send it, durability isn’t a priority—I’m likely to lose it anyway. So, I set out to design my ideal ultralight 6" long-range explorer.
To achieve this, every T700 carbon fiber plate is milled out to the bare bones. The motors integrate into the structural integrity of the thin dual arms when bolted together. Resulting in a quad that's stable, fun to fly, and highly efficient. The long body can carry 4S2P or 6S2P L-ion batteries while minimizing signal blind spots from the carefully placed antenna prints. Plus, since the Proto6R is made of multiple components, it's easy to service and replace parts.
After flying this, I always find myself questioning if I really need anything else…
